Depression: the psychological definition is:
"Depression is one of the most common types of mental health conditions that might lead to anxiety afterwards.”
"Depression is a condition of feeling down that a person can experience once or multiple times.”
But, these definitions aren’t enough to explain the feelings of the victim, they’re only psychological, or "scientific”
Depression is the feeling, or the condition you are in after a shock, mainly negative, or a reaction to negative actions piling up, it might stay for a short while, but it also can stay for as long as you can think.
The victim of depression might go through a lot, like loss of concentration or focus, change in appetite and sleep patterns; for example Fatigue(a lack of physical and/or mental energy) that might lead to random sleep, and other symptoms might be feeling insecure or worthless, losing interest in almost everything, withdrawal from others, but more dangerous, Suicidal thoughts.
Depression might be really hard, and it can ruin close friendships and /or relationships with others and might sometimes lead to suicide.
A deep explanation of the feeling the victim of depression gets is:
The feeling of being physically and/or mentally hurt and/or tired , it’s the feeling of needing someone by your side but not wanting any noise small or big, the feeling of wanting to die and/or disappear, or wanting to undo what hurts so bad, the feeling of being unsafe and lonely, the feeling of "I don't care about anything anymore” which can lead to unwanted risks. The feeling of burning mentally, which also hurts physically.
All that a victim of depression wants is a person to understand everything with no need of talk, a person to make them feel secure, with no need of words, a person who won’t force them to be cured, but cures them, a person who will treat them tenderly, with no enforcement.
People nowadays find depression something to laugh at, or a "style”, not knowing how difficult it can be.
Depression victims might be judged by their close ones, or be made fun of, (that’s only for toxic relationships but commonly happens by both toxic and non-toxic ones)which might make it much worse, so whenever you meet someone who suffers from such symptoms, never underestimate it, instead try to support them or talk to a medical help center before it gets out of control.
Depression, how hard and difficult it might seem to be, is going to end sooner or later anyways, but the best way to cure it is to not force it to be cured, yes, leave it on its own and know it’s just a matter of time, even if stays for a very long time.
Lastly , no one can understand how difficult depression is unless they face it someday, but either way, never underestimate it.
