Communication is the way we, human beings, use to interact with each other, but using it the wrong way might withdraw us from others.

One of the most common problems in communication nowadays that not a lot people have realized is the negative effect of using the word "hate”

For a deeper explanation, let's bring you in an example: 

Imagine your friend is talking to you about something that they like, maybe a song, a movie, or anything else, but you don’t seem to like it that much , mostly when such situations happen, Side A (which is you in the example) ends the conversation with "I hate ____” which mostly ends up with Side B (which is your friend in the example) to stop talking about it. 

This leaves a lot of negative effects, for example,the next time your friend wants to talk to you about something they like, they think twice about it, and it might also have a negative effect on your friend’s point of view.

Imagine after you told your friend that you hate what they liked, they might ask why, mostly in such situations Side A (which is you in the example) starts criticizing the thing Side B (your friend in ht example) liked as an answer, which will make Side B (your friend in the example) think about what Side A (you in the example) said, and it might even end up with Side B (your friend in the example) to dislike what they used to like, especially when you’re someone they look up to.

See? So first, you made your friend think more than once before talking to you, and made them dislike things they used to like, and these acts will make them withdraw from you slowly.

Let’s go back to when your friend was talking about something they liked, it wasn’t really necessary for you to say that you hated it, instead imagine if you said something nicer, like: "I’m not really interested in _____ but it seems pretty good. Tell me more.” or anything like that. 

This is a problem not a lot of people noticed but it’s a common problem in today’s way of communication, and can leave a lot of negative effects on us and others.
