On the auspicious anniversary of his birth in [13] Rajab Al-Asab; Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) speech and behavior [part One]
    الأربعاء 31 يناير / كانون الثاني 2024 - 11:54
    نزار حيدر Nizar Haider
     In my opinion, one of the aspects of the greatness of the personality of the Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali bin Abi Talib (peace be upon him), that is not talked about, is his rare and unique ability to accurately diagnose challenges and define them in time and place on the one hand, and to confront them and not evade them by replacing them, for example, or ignoring and being completely preoccupied with them. One day or another, By secondary or trivial matters on the other hand, and the steadfastness of the personality on values and principles and not changing or altering with the arguments of [the end justifies the means], for example, on the third hand.

     He (peace be upon him) taught us how to set priorities and how to prepare for each priority, psychologically, morally, and materially, so that we are constantly prepared to deal with it without weakness, humiliation, or even arrogance and tyranny.

     (peace be upon him) his speech and his behavior and his behavior remained consistent with his speech in all circumstances, challenges and turning points and in all the positions he occupied, no matter how dangerous they were or how easy they were, and this is an aspect of honesty as he (peace be upon him) described him when he said: "And when God saw that we were truthful, He revealed some We put an end to oppression and victory was bestowed upon us. Until Islam became established, meeting its neighbors and occupying its lands.}

     He taught us how to turn a slogan into behavior, a speech into a project, and words into action.

     Not only this, but he also taught us that our words should not have any superiority over our behavior, and that our theories and speeches should not have any superiority over our commitments.

     He (peace be upon him) says, describing the person of faith, "Faith is to prefer honesty where it will harm you over lying where it will benefit you, and that your speech should not be in preference to your work, and that you should fear God when speaking to others.” }.

     And since (peace be upon him) was the entirety of faith, as the Messenger of God (peace be upon him) described it on the day of the ditch when he appeared to the enemy of God, Amr bin Wad Al-Amiri, therefore we never noticed any merit in his talk about his work and behavior at all levels, and he said (peace be upon him) {O people, I swear by God I do not urge you to do obedience unless I precede you in it, nor do I forbid you from disobedience unless your predecessors refrained from doing it. He incited, then fell behind and did not encourage others with unending enthusiasm, then he sat on the hill and watched!

     This rule of conformity is the only criterion that the Imam (peace be upon him) set for us to distinguish the truthful from the liar, the believer from the hypocrite, and the one who sacrifices for the sake of others from the one who sacrifices others for the sake of himself!

     Ali (peace be upon him) is the owner of values, virtues, and principles. He himself did not change in all circumstances, no matter how hard he was or how hard the pillow was for him.

     The titles did not change him, and the positions and positions did not affect his decisions at all.

     And in order for this to be so, he categorically refused to have tails, trumpets, cheerleaders, and applauders gathering around him. He (peace be upon him) was strict in rejecting all manifestations of false holiness, artificial glorification, the cult of personality, and attempts to create a dictator and idolatry. He (peace be upon him) said, When he was on his way to the Levant, the raiders of Al-Anbar came and alighted for him. They became strong in his hands, and he said: What is this that you have made? They said: He is a character among us with which we venerate our princes, and he said: By God, your princes will not benefit from this! Indeed, you are hard on yourselves in this world, and you will be hard on him in your hereafter, and what brings hardship behind it is punishment, and what wins supplication with it is safety from the Fire. !}.

     Even authority, rule, and command did not want to give her an ounce of false sanctity or artificial aura, so that she would not be transformed from a pure means into a dirty goal over which men would fight, and names would be humiliated, blood would flow, and honor would be violated. The status of truth and justice into an instrument of brutality, arrogance, and tyranny. He (peace be upon him) said: Once {As for the One who split the grain and created the breath, had it not been for the presence of the present and the establishment of the argument in the presence of the supporter, God would not have charged the scholars that they should not endure the brunt of an oppressor nor O oppressed wildebeest, I would have cast its cord on its outer side, and I would have watered the last of it with the cup of its beginning, and you would have consumed this world of yours. This is more abstaining from me than the froth of a goat. }.

     Abdullah bin Abbas says: I went to the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) with Dhu Qar while he was mending his sandals, and he said to me: What is the value of this sandal? So I said: Worthless! He (peace be upon him) said: By God, it is more beloved to me than your command, unless I establish truth or ward off falsehood.

     He is the one who said: "As for what follows, it is a duty upon the ruler not to make him jealous of his subjects due to the bounty he has received or the length of time bestowed upon him, and to increase for him what God has apportioned for him of the blessings of his close proximity.” among His servants and compassionate toward His brothers,” and His statement in his covenant with Al-Ashtar, "And fill your heart with compassion for his subjects, and love for them, and kindness to them, and do not be oppressive to them.” A ferocious beast, whose food you seize.

     And when the people wanted him for the caliphate after the killing of Uthman, he did not appear to be one of the [men] jaded by authority. He did not contend, nor contend, nor follow ambitions. Rather, he said what expressed principle, morals, self-confidence, certainty in the method, and abstinence from authority. And deal with it responsibly and honestly.

     He (peace be upon him) said: "Leave me and seek others, for we are facing a matter that has many faces and colors for which hearts cannot stand, and for which minds will not remain firm, and indeed the horizons have darkened, and the pilgrimage has darkened.” I have disguised myself, and know that if I answered you, I would deal with you as I know, and would not listen to the words of the speaker and the reproach of the reproach, and if you abandon me, then I am like one of you. Maybe I listen to you and obey you to whomever you have entrusted, and I am a better minister for you than a commander for you!

     He refused to hold on to gain power! He refused to appease anyone at the expense of his principles in order to guarantee the caliphate and after that [for every recent incident]!

     It was clear before he was appointed caliph, when he was appointed caliph, and after he was appointed successor! He refuses to let anyone stipulate anything from him at the expense of truth, justice and fairness.

     On the auspicious anniversary of his birth in [13] Rajab Al-Asab;

     Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) destroying false sanctity

     [The second part]

     Nizar Haider

     The Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) was striving, with all means of knowledge, to break down the veils, walls, and dams that the authority places between the ruler and the subjects to create an aura of false holiness, as if the ruler is a half-god or that he is the shadow of God on earth, giving him countless titles. And countless! To protect him from censorship, criticism, and perhaps removal from power if he continued to insist on his wrongdoing against the nation or on his corruption and failure, he wrote to his handler, Ibn Abbas, advising him: "Seek people with your face, your sitting, and your rule, and beware of The lizard is a bird of Satan, and know that whatever brings you close to God will keep you far from Hell, and whatever keeps you far from God It brings you closer to Hell.

     As he wrote to Al-Ashtar during his reign when he appointed him governor of Egypt: "And make for those of you a portion of need in which you can make your personal provision for them, and sit for them in a general assembly, and therein humble yourself for the sake of God who has created You and your soldiers and your helpers from your guards and your police remain away from them until their speaker speaks to you without being confused, for I heard the Messenger of God (may God bless him and grant him peace) say in a different context. tons "No nation will be sanctified in which the weak’s rights are not taken from the strong, without hesitating.” Then I endured the rags and fatigue of them and removed their distress, and my nose, may God extend His blessings upon me. Thus are the envelopes of His mercy, and He requires for you the reward of obedience to Him, and give what you have been given with joy, and withhold in completeness and with excuse!}.

     He (peace be upon him) sought to eliminate the phenomenon of being satisfied with [fancy] titles and badges with which the ruler conceals himself as an asset sufficient for him to continue in power without any achievement. He says: "Am I convinced of myself that this will be called the Commander of the Faithful?” Do I not share with them in the hardships of time or be an example to them in the harshness of life? I was not created to be occupied with eating good things, like a tethered animal whose only concern is its fodder or one that is sent out. And what was intended by it, or was it left in vain, or was neglected in vain, or dragged along the rope of error, or was strayed into the path of the maze!}.

     And (peace be upon him) used to repeat to the subjects in order to consolidate in their minds the philosophy of authority, so that no one would think that it was a spoils of gain or an advantage that distinguished the ruler from others, saying, "The lowly one is dear to me until I take his right, and the strong one is weak in my eyes.” Until I take the right from him.

     He (peace be upon him) also hated to see those gathered around him as an army of the ignorant, the illiterate, the fools, the fools, the ignorant ones, the tails, the opportunists, the [terrible] and the occupants! Of those who {have hearts with which they do not understand, and they have eyes with which they do not see, and they have ears with which they do not hear. These are like cattle, nay, they are more astray. Those are the heedless ones. Even that he was defective to the people of the Levant, as they were victims of ignorance and misleading, saying: "No, and the disobedience is led by a nation of loyalty, and he was blinded by the news, until they made them.”

     He (peace be upon him) was keen to ensure that the correct and truthful information was at hand, accessible to and obtained by everyone who sought it, in order to build his correct position regarding events and developments, so that he would not be fooled or led astray, riding on his back or milking his udder! Saying, "Indeed, it is yours with me that I will not detain you in secret, except in the context of war, nor will I withhold any matter from you except in a court of law, nor will I delay a right of yours from its due date, nor will I withhold from it.” And if you are equal to me in the truth, then if I do that, God’s blessing has become obligatory upon you, and it is my duty to obey you and not to turn away from it. A call, and do not neglect to do good and do not go into the depths to the truth, for if you do not remain steadfast for me in this, no one is more insignificant to me than he who is crooked than you. Then I will magnify the punishment for him, and he will find no remission with Me for it. So take this from your commanders and give them from yourselves what God will set right for you.}

     The Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) has set for us the elements of success in order to avoid the factors of failure, on both levels: The individual level and the group level, the most important of which are:

     Firstly; Commitment to the rule of [the right man in the right place], saying in his covenant with Al-Ashtar when he appointed him governor of Egypt: "Then look into the affairs of your workers, and use them as a test, and do not give them favoritism or favor, for they are a group of From the people of injustice and betrayal, and beware of the people of experience and modesty among them.

     He (peace be upon him) adds, reminding of the most important and prominent qualities that the [responsible] must possess in order for him to be approved by the rule: "Then choose for judgment among the people the best of your subjects within yourself, from among whom matters will not be distressed or erased.” He overpowers his adversaries, and does not persist in missteps, and does not resort to the truth when he knows it, nor His soul is set on greed, and he is not satisfied with the slightest understanding without the maximum. He stops them in doubts, takes them with arguments, and makes them least confident in checking with the opponent. And the most patient of them when matters unfold, and the most strict with them when the ruling becomes clear, is one of those who are not swayed by flattery nor tempted by temptation.

     It is a precise and great recipe in which (peace be upon him) mixed the required material, moral and psychological qualities that produce a responsible personality capable of achievement and success, each according to his position, powers and duties.

     It is a magical recipe that creates a [statesman] capable of leadership, and unlike it, there are qualities that produce [a man of power and influence] at the expense of the state and society!

     secondly; There is no equality between the successful and the unsuccessful, between the honest and the corrupt, between the one who is characterized by a spirit of responsibility and the careless and negligent one, between the one who is keen on everything for which he is responsible, such as money, property, and interests, especially what pertains to the state, and the one who tampers with it and is not concerned with the public good! This is one of the most dangerous diseases that afflict nations, leading them to failure. That is why the Holy Qur’an warns against it, saying, "And do not deprive people of their things, and do not spread corruption in the land, spreading corruption.” Thus, he linked people’s deprivation of their things and corruption in the world. Satisfaction.

     He (peace be upon him) said in his covenant with Al-Ashtar: "And let not the doer of good and the doer of evil be in equal status with you, for in that is a discontinuation of the people of goodness in doing good, and a training for the people of evil.” For transgression, and each one of them was obligated to do what he obligated himself to do.

     Worse than that is when you steal Zaid’s successful effort and register it in the name of the failed Amr, out of favoritism or for special relationships and interests that bind you to him! Or to confiscate the achievements of others in order to register them in your name, this is thievery in its ugliest form.

     He (peace be upon him) says: "Then know for each one of them what he has afflicted with, and do not attribute the affliction of one person to another, and do not neglect it without the purpose of his affliction, and do not call upon you with the honor of a mother.” See, until you make his affliction great, no matter how small. Nor is the humbleness of a man until you make his affliction small, no matter how great.}

     On the auspicious anniversary of his birth in [13] Rajab Al-Asab;

     Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) The road map for building bridges of trust

     [The third and final part]

     Nizar Haider

     The third ingredient for success: Carefully choose the advisor and the advisor. Before you consult anyone for any matter, whether personal or public, you must scrutinize the identity of the advisor, his background, his consulting record, his clear mind, and his courage in expressing his best opinions and views, especially if you are determined. You must adhere to his opinion, as one consultation may take you to the abyss. Or to the top, and therefore a rational person should not consult everyone who comes and goes, as if he wants to remove the duty from himself or that he wants to block the pretexts for blaming people and cutting off their tongues.

     The consultant is your partner in success and failure, so look to whom you give your trust before you choose him as your partner in consulting! So that it should be as true as possible to the description of the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) when he advised his son, Al-Hasan (peace be upon him), by saying, "So I have freed for you from every matter of date palms, and I have selected for you what is beautiful, and I have turned away from you the unknown.” e}.

     You share his mind, as he (peace be upon him) says: "Whoever consults with men will share with her her mind.” So see what kind of mind she shares?!

     He (peace be upon him) says: {And do not bring into your advice a miser who turns away from you kindness and promises you poverty, nor a coward who weakens you in matters, nor a coward who adorns evil for you with an atmosphere. Indeed, miserliness, cowardice, and covetousness are various instincts combined with a bad belief in God.

     Be careful not to build your relationships with the inner circle on the basis of greed, as such advisors will sell you their opinions with sweet talk to please you and not to help you make the right decision and expand the horizons of your thinking, and that their consultation is upon request and equal to the value of the payment, and that such people do not They will never help you in anything, for they are the worst kind of tyranny. .

     He (peace be upon him) says: "Then the ruler has a special and inner circle among them who are monopolistic, arrogant, and lack of fairness in their dealings, so settle the matter of those people by cutting off the causes of those conditions and Do not cut off any of your entourage or entourage into a group, nor let anyone dare to enter into a relationship that harms the people next to it, whether they drink or work together. His supplies are on Other than them, and that will be a blessing to them rather than you, and a shame to you in this world and the hereafter.

     The Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) has drawn an important road map for building a strong and cohesive society that relies on two basic components that are the cornerstones of the building;

     the first; It is social solidarity to eliminate, or at least to reduce, the social class gap that divides society into two categories: the rich who enjoy all the good things that God Almighty has made available to His servants, and the poor who enjoy none of them.

     The strength and cohesion of society are inversely proportional to the size of the class. The smaller the size of the area, the stronger the cohesion of society, and the opposite is true: the more it expands, the weaker the cohesion of society and the more its foundations collapse.

     He (peace be upon him) was the first to legislate the law of the social protection network, when he wrote during his reign to Al-Ashtar: "Then, by God, by God, in the lowest class of those who have no help, of the poor, the needy, and the people of distress and time.” In this class, there are people who are content and self-conscious. Reserve for God what He has reserved for you of His right to them, and grant them A portion of Malik's house and a portion of the produce of the Islamic woollands in every land. For the furthest among them is the same as that for the lowest, and each of them has been given his rights, and they do not occupy them. You have no excuse for them, for you are not excused for your trivial neglect of your many important rulings, so do not turn your concern away from them, and do not turn your cheek to them and inspect their affairs. None of them will reach you Eyes stare at him and men despise him, so give your trust to those who are people of fear and humility, and let them raise their affairs to you, then act upon them with excuses. To God on the day you meet him, for these people from among the people are more in need of justice than others. So each one of them makes excuses to God for fulfilling his rights to Him, and the people of the family pledged themselves to Him. And those who are tender in age and who have no help. And he does not put the issue in charge of himself, and that is heavy for the rulers, and the truth as a whole is heavy, and God may lighten it for people who sought the outcome and were patient with themselves. Be strong in the truth of God’s promises to them.

     the second; It is the building of bridges of trust between the state and its institutions on the one hand and society on the other hand, that is, between the shepherd and the flock. The more the relationship between them is sound and correct, not tainted by doubt, mistrust, disharmony, distance, and estrangement, the stronger the pillars of the state and the more stable the society that will defend and protect it, the more its value will appear. Citizenship and national spirit clearly And solid.

     One of the most prominent tools for building these bridges is the transparency, clarity, frankness, and honesty with which the state and its institutions must deal with public opinion. Do not lie to it, deceive it, mislead it, or cover up its corruption and failure with electronic flies whose job is to overturn the facts and change the facts.

     He (peace be upon him) says: {And if the subjects think that you are dishonorable, then declare your excuse to them and clear their suspicions about you by making you sober, for in that is a pity on your part for yourself and a relief. A duty to your subjects and an excuse by which you will fulfill your need of upholding them to the truth.

     Likewise, the monopolization of the ruler, his clan, his partisans, and his entourage over everything that people hold as an example, such as opportunities for education, work, health, security, the country’s wealth, the state’s capabilities, and everything that God Almighty has made available to His servants, does not contribute to building those bridges of trust, nor does it contribute to the stability of the state. Therefore, (peace be upon him) warned Malik against that By saying in his covenant with him {And beware of choosing only that in which the people are examples}.

     But if the official is like the following model that the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) describes to us, then it is certainly not possible to build bridges of trust between the ruler and the ruled, and therefore it is not possible to imagine a strong and cohesive [state] with his presence.

     (peace be upon him) describes this bad example of rulers and officials by saying: "How strange the son of an-Nabigha! It is claimed by the people of the Levant that there is a joke in me, and that I am a playful person who is chaste and impracticable! He spoke falsely and uttered a sinful statement, and the worst thing to say is lying. He tells a lie and promises and breaks it. He asks and is stingy and asks and deceives and betrays the covenant. Cut off the gods, and if he is at war, what a rebuke and commander he is! Unless the swords are drawn, then if that is the case, then his greatest plot is to give Crimea its Sabbath! By God, what prevents me from playing games is the remembrance of death, and what prevents him from speaking the truth is the forgetfulness of the afterlife, for he did not pledge allegiance to Muawiyah until the condition that he give him And he relents to him for abandoning religion.

    What an ugly model!
